Meura developed a unique design of mash tun with double jacket. Thanks to the dimple plate technology and a specific design of the steam supply and condensate return, we are maximising the heat surface area. This leads to unique performances: a 1°C/min heating rate with maximum 1,5 bar steam pressure. Thanks to the low steam pressure the fouling of the heating surface is very limited and a C.I.P. is needed after at least 40 brews.
The chimney of the mash tun is foreseen to collect and evacuate the condense which avoids that undesirable volatiles coming from the malting process returnes into the mash.
