In order to assure the mash heating, Meura has developed a special system of direct clean steam injection. Indeed, compared to the traditional double heating jackets system, AFLOSjet technology provides numerous advantages. This method, linked with an adapted agitation, limits shear forces during mashing and avoids the traditional fouling of heating surfaces.
The AFLOSjet's main advantages:
- Rapid and constant rise in temperature independent of CIP cycles (reproducible mash vessel occupation time).
- Reduction of mash oxidation and shear forces.
- Reduction of Strecker aldehydes.
- Excellent mash filterability.
- Short CIP procedure and only once a week, using fewer chemical products.
- Ideal solution for a brewhouse revamping.
